According to LinkedIn, Coinify is an established global virtual currency platform that serves customers from Europe, Asia and other regions. Some of their key services are individual currency trading, corporate brokerage, payment processing services, and enterprise digital payment solutions via Coinify API. Coinify stated that its mission is to make the use of virtual currencies become mainstream and help businesses and individuals to adopt the future of financial innovation. One of its key offering as a payment processor also help them to become a bridge for merchants that can accept blockchain payments in 15 currencies and receive payouts in fiat without having to manually trade by themselves.

The company stated that its team consists of people with strong backgrounds in digital payments, finance, risk, e-commerce, and compliance areas and has been working with digital currencies since 2010. The company was incorporated in 2014 and is backed by SEED Capital Denmark, Nordic Eye Venture Capital and Accelerace. According to Crunchbase, the platform provides various services, from trading to white-label solutions to offer in-wallet trading. Its payment processing network is also available to use for online merchants, payment service providers, retail stores, and more.

Coinify has raised a total of $13.1M in 3 funding rounds, with the latest one finished on December 22, 2017. There are several investors who contributed to the growth of the project, including Seed Capital, SEB Venture Capital, and the three venture capital firm mentioned above. In addition to this, Coinify also acquire more than 3 organizations, with the latest acquisition was BetterCoins on December 14, 2018. The company currently has 11 team members, including its co-founder and CEO Mark Højgaard. It also has 8 board members and advisors including Hans Henrik Hoffmeyer.
