According to Crunchbase, Evernym is developing a decentralized, self-sovereign identity application to form more trusting interactions. The app and tool are dedicated to individuals, organizations, and other entities who need trust-based interactions to happens. Evernym has developed and released Sovrin, an open-source distributed ledger network for self-sovereign identity. With Sovrin’s blockchain and Evernym’s app, data can be controlled by its owners without any additional cost and preserve user privacy.
Evernym has raised a total of $16.5M in 2 funding rounds. The last funding round finished on September 26, 2019. Medici Ventures and Barclays Ventures are the key investors who support Evernym. According to PrivCo, Evernym has a valuation in the range of $50M to $100M as of September 27, 2019. Jason Law is one of its co-founder and currently serve as the Chief Architect.
