According to LinkedIn, Securitize is a compliance platform and protocol for issuing and managing digital securities on a blockchain network. Some of the assets are dividends, distributions, and share buy-backs. The company claims that its innovative Digital Securities Protocol (DS Protocol) provides a seamless, fully compliant trading experience across multiple markets simultaneously. Securitize partners actively with exchanges, broker-dealers, custodians of crypto, escrow services, and other financial infrastructure to provide its digital security services for the clients.

According to Crunchbase, Securitize unlock a new form of digital securities, which are easier to own, simpler to manage, and faster to trade. The main goal of the company is to build a modern capital market with digital securities, making it easier for investors to own, manage, and trade digital securities such as equity, funds, fixed income, and real estate. The company claims that Securitize is the only SEC Registered Transfer Agent integrated with multiple regulated US-based marketplaces with a working protocol and live issuers. In addition to that, Securitize also offers KYC/AML and capital management services.

The company has raised a total of $26.8M in more than 7 funding rounds. The latest funding round was finished on February 5, 2020. It also invest and acquires other company such as Distributed Technology Markets, which was acquired on October 15, 2020. The project has seven core members including its founder and CEO, Carlos Domingo. Some of Securitize investors are Sony Financial Ventures, Global Brain Corporation, SBI Investment, SeedRocket 4Founders Capital, MUFG Bank, Kenetic, Ventures, Nomura, Mouro Capital, Blockchain Capital, and more.
