Ever since China started its crypto crackdown, report shows a relative increase in the number of illegal mining farms. This has made several municipal regulators roll out regulations for any potential mining company within their jurisdictions.
For sometime now in Toledo Villa, the neighbors had noticed an unusual heat oozing out of a particular part of the community and they alerted the cops accordingly.
After breaking into the house, the cops discovered it to be an illegal crypto mining site where they found more than 100 mining operators, refrigerating systems and every other necessary equipment for mining.
Sequel to this, the cops proceeded to arrest a woman who is accused of owning the place, and a couple of suspects they met at the scene.
“The investigated woman used an illegal connection to the low voltage distribution network through a three-phase electrical connection with a high illegal consumption,” a media outlet reported.
According to the reports, the illegality of the mining site and the illegal consumption of power constitute crimes under Spanish law. Therefore, it’s possible that the suspects are arraigned in Court any time soon.
