According to data from the Santiment analytics aggregator, Ethereum whales continue to amass the second-largest cryptocurrency on a bargain. In the last 41 days, they have added an additional 2.12 percent of the coin’s entire supply to their holdings.
In its tweet, the Santiment team mentioned, the top ten Ethereum wallet owners currently own a massive 20.58 percent of the total ETH supply, which they have been amassing since May 2017.
ETH has declined from its previous historic peak of $4,362 set on May 12. These top ten ETH whales have purchased an additional 2.12 percent of ETH supply on the dip in the last month and even days. ETH is currently trading at $1936.5, down more than 55% from its all-time high.
Santiment revealed earlier this month that investors were withdrawing large amounts of ETH from crypto exchanges.
On July 2, ETH holdings on centralized trading platforms fell to their lowest levels since 2018. This, according to Santiment, may lower the chances of a big sell-off shortly.
Overall, ETH had outperformed Bitcoin this year, increasing by a remarkable 221 percent by the time it reached its all-time high on May 12.
